Preparation & Requirements:

Quilt top and backing has been pressed, clean and free of any odors (smoke, pet or strong perfumes).

Quilt backing measures at least 12 inches wider and 16 inches longer then quilt top. (Example: If your quilt 60" x 80", your backing must be at least 72" x 96").

Quilt top has been stay stitched 1/8" around top edge to prevent unraveling or stretching. All threads have been clipped and loose seams on the quilt top have been secured.

*Estimates: Sew Feathered will send an Estimate for total cost for approval to the client before work begins.

*Invoices/Payment Method: The client agrees to pay invoice(s) by the due date(s) specified in the Estimate. Unpaid or overdue invoices may result in delay or return of project. Payments will be made to Sew Feathered via cash, check or method approved by Sew Feathered.

*Fullness Disclosure: Every effort will be made to provide the best results for quilts with fullness, border or block issues. We will do our best to minimize these concerns. However, we cannot guarantee they will be completely free of issues.

*Mechanical Disclosure: Longarm machines are mechanical devices. We will take ever precaution, rare occasional mechanical issues may occur that could affect your quilt. The client will be consulted about any mechanical issues or damage (i.e., needle breaks and causes damage).

*Service Animals: Service animals are permitted near the same location as Sew Feathered private studio. We will take reasonable precautions to ensure that animals do not come into direct contact with your quilt project. However, we cannot guarantee there will be no contact with a dog hair. All efforts will be made to keep items free of any dog hair. Wool batting may be in the same location that could come in contact with your project.

*Credit Acknowledgement: In the event the quilted item is displayed (i.e., quilt show, exhibitions, online forums) or used in published works (i.e., books, magazines, patterns), the client agrees to acknowledge Tammy Caple of Sew Feathered as the provider of the longarm quilting service.

I understand that if my quilt top and backing do not meet the preparation requirements outlined above, Sew Feathered will contact me and they may be returned to me unquilted. In such cases, I agree to pay for all return shipping costs.
